At BIKE PLATE we use the latest high tech. equipment to design, build and manufacture your number plate. All our ABS Substrate plates are manufactured to BSAU145d; this makes them stronger; more impact resistant, and last a lot longer than the old style plates. Before you ask, ABS stands for Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene, so now you know why we just refer to them as acrylic!!! You must display a yellow reflective plate on the rear (unless your vehicle is pre-1973, in which case you have the choice of modern yellow or black background), according to UK Law.



We also hold in stock a large selection of different sized plates; design your own custom Motorcycle number plates for the 'off road bike' (show plate) as well as the standard 9"x7" road legal bike plates. We also keep flexible motorcycle plates.

Signs and Show Plates

If you require a differently spaced, styled or designed number plate then this would be sold as a ´sign´, for ´off road´ use. We place a sticker on the back of the plate (which can be removed) advising you that it is sold as a sign, not a number plate and it is not to be fitted to a Motorbike using the U.K. roads. Please Note: All show plates are shipped from our Company in the Isle of Man


Road Compliant Bike Number Plates

There are only 2 fonts that are permitted on road compliant plates, standard font and 3D font. In addition, personalisation, non-standard images, or honeycomb backing are also not legal. The spacing of the numbers and letters on your road compliant plate must be spaced as printed in your V5 (registration document) over 2 lines.
